Senior Product Manager

The Client in India is seeking an innovative, customer-centric team player to define customer centric products necessary to establish and grow Kindle devices category in India. In this role, you will work across teams in the US, EU and India to bring world-class reading experiences to Indian customers.

The Senior Product Manager will develop local roadmap and requirements, drive product vision, and be responsible for implementation with technology teams. The ideal candidate will be results oriented, have a proven record of product launches, and exhibit solid business sense. Operating in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment, you will have the responsibility to hit business objectives for Kindle e-readers in India. The role provides opportunities to think big, develop original ideas, and leverage the worldwide Kindle ecosystem to compete in a relatively new category in the ever changing e-commerce sector.

You will manage challenging, lengthy projects across multiple teams and locations, and will need to be comfortable marshaling large amounts of data to support business cases and drive decisions. The position is located in Bangalore, India and reports into the Kindle India team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define product roadmap and manage the devices portfolio in India.

- Contribute to long-term Kindle device strategy and goals for India.

- Identify, analyze, and prioritize India specific product requirements by evaluating the economic and strategic costs and benefits (short and long term)

- Prepare and present business reviews to senior management.

- Provide key industry insight and benchmark competitive experiences to inform new product development and roadmap.

- Work closely with and engineering, design, and program management in an agile environment to deliver products to market.

- Drive metrics and operational efficiencies both internally and externally, including cost reduction efforts.

Basic Qualifications :

- 6+ years product management experience in the consumer Internet or technology sectors.

- 4+ years mobile industry experience, preferably in India

- Held cradle to grave product management responsibilities

- Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred

- Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications :

- Demonstrated ability to handle ambiguity effectively and operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

- Affinity to work with many teams, and be an effective influencer to leverage central resource groups on behalf of Indian customers and business.

- Technical fluency; comfortable with technical issues, understand implications, and discuss alternative technical solutions.

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; strong bias towards data analysis, and comfort with pro-forma financial and operational analysis.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Street smart; willingness to roll up the sleeves and operate with a sense of urgency to do whatever is necessary to meet team goals.
