Senior Principal - R&D - IT

Job Summary

As a Technology R&D Senior Principal, you will lead an initiative to execute an R&D agenda that addresses specific research questions through a portfolio of research projects that address distinct technology and business grand challenges. Your focus will be primarily on invention and validation of along with an associated team of R&D professionals. You should demonstrate a strong understanding of software engineering principles. You should have a proven and strong record of patent filings, research publications, thought leadership and presence in academic and industry forums. You should have an excellent presentation and communication skills and be enthusiastic in presenting your work to internal and external stakeholders

Key Responsibilities : 

1. Lead thought leadership for overall initiative by identifying the grand challenges with a focus on technical research needed to address the overall initiative goal.

2. Lead research to address the grand challenges. Design experiments for validation in peer-reviewed forums (academic, industry-technical).

3. Lead promotion of awareness of initiative goals and outcomes. Establish self as an expert in the space with a focus on academic and industry technical.

4. Generate awareness for initiative direction and outcomes.

5. Obtain buy-in for initiative impact to the organization and client business. Build relationships with critical Open Innovation partners who work in the ecosystem.

6. Manage execution on research initiative across Labs team.

Other important information.

1. Preferred PhD in Computer Science or related disciplines with a proven track record high-quality research and development. MTech / MS is also considered.

2. PhD - Minimum 10 years of experience; MTech / MS - Minimum 13 years of experience is required.

3. Experience in block chain, quantum computing, human-computer interface, extended reality, IoT, cloud computing.

4. Should have handled atleast a team of 4-5 researchers.

5. Experience in research and patent filing is mandatory
