Payroll Administrator (Senior Payroll Specialist)

Position Summary :

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced professional to be our Payroll Administrator (Senior Payroll Specialist). In this role, the right candidate will provide exceptional support to employees and business groups by ensuring complete and accurate flow of data, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders to be sure that all compensation, deduction, and taxation details are understood.

Reports to : India CFO

Responsibilities :

Key responsibilities for this position include :

- Coordinate with HR and the outsourced payroll provider in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll and year-end tax filings for over 500 employees.

- Review interface files and confirm approvals and appropriateness on all source data documents as required by SOX controls.

- Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, queries, and conduct appropriate audits to ensure data integrity.

- Research and resolve payroll related questions from employees and managers within SLA requirements.

- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

- Review and control the production and disbursement of the corporate payroll.

- Ensure the corporate payroll is produced accurately, timely and securely.

- Ensure deduction of accurate Income Tax for eligible employees.

- Responsible of collation of inputs from various sources for payroll processing.

- Processing of reimbursements.

- Generate accurate reports as per timelines

- Familiar with the process payment & returns of statutory compliances like PF/ESIC/PT/MLWF/Income Tax & handling inspections.

- Filing of Quarterly TDS returns pertaining to salaries, generating and issuing Form 16.

- Processing of timely vendor payments.

- Time to time accounting of payroll expenses in JDE with monthly provisions.

- Processing of Full & Final Settlement & processing the payments.

- Investment Proof Collection, data Storage and checking during the year end.

- Assist in various audits & management reports.

- Resolving salary queries within stipulated time.

- Responsible for efficiently maintaining records and filing system for payroll department in a confidential manner.

- Preparing payroll related reconciliations for month end close and financial audits.

Qualifications :

- 6 - 10 years of India payroll experience.

- Strong understanding of India payroll and tax withholding compliance obligations including salary schemes and tax allowances.

- Proficiency with Excel.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.

- Multi-national, Expat payroll, and equity compensation experience a plus

Desired Skills and Experience :

- Excellent communication skills verbal and written with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

- Has shown great initiative in past positions.

- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.

Salary - up to 10 Lacs
