Senior Patent Associate - IP Domain

Purpose:

To perform patent searches for clients using various IP analytics tool with minimum handholding by Sr. Associates.

Main Priorities :

Churning out a specific number (8 -14 searches per month) of patent searches with requisite quality. Effectively incorporate feedback by mentors, attorneys and clients. Communicate effectively with clients, and mentors

Measures :

- Complete 10 patent search projects per month.

- 150 hours of billable work per month.

- Zero cases of negative feedback from the client.

- 100% adherence to defined process/SOPs.

- 100% output based on search project quality and timeliness.

Qualifications: Bachelors/ Master's degree either in Computer Science or Electrical.

Experience:

- 1-3 years experience in IP domain

- Should have conducted more than 25 patent searches in relevant domain.

Domain Skills :

- In-depth knowledge of technical literature in the area of subject matter expertise

- Knowledge of Prior Art Searching Techniques

- Knowledge of Specialized Prior Art Searching Databases (like Thompson Innovation, Orbit, Delphion etc.)

- Knowledge of US Patent Law (35 USC - 101, 102, 112 etc.)

- Expertise in MS Excel and other charting tools

- Understanding of various IP Analytics Tools

- Exposure to Secondary Business/Market Research on Internet
