What you'll do:
- Review US business and individual tax forms/paperwork prepared by the junior staff
- Mentor and train the junior staff in US business and individual tax returns
- Develops a relationship with engagement-related client personnel responsible for tax issues.
- Demonstrates solid understanding of the client's business, objectives and industry and helps client understand the value of their business; stays current on regulatory and industry issues
- Ability to listen to the client and adapt to their agenda as a trustworthy, collaborative business advisor
- Effectively communicates technical topics in non-technical terms to a variety of audiences
- Proactive in managing the engagement; identifying and resolving issues, anticipating needs (client, Partner, and deliverable timelines)
- Serves as an effective business advisor to clients and others
- Recognizes personal skills/knowledge limitations and leverages firm resources and leverages from resources to best serve clients and minimize risk

Preferred Skills, Experience and Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- Chartered Accountant/Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required
- High level of people and project management skills
- Minimum 3+ years professional experience in public accounting, and at least 5 years of US tax accounting experience, demonstrating a progression of complexity, scope and number of engagements managed, with extensive supervisory experience
- Successful problem solving and analytical skills
- Proficient in the use of computers, accounting software and tax software programs
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to train and supervise staff in tax, software skills, etc.
- Ability to perform under time pressures and meet deadlines
- Strong work ethic, honest and ethical
