Senior Manager - Transportation

Job Purpose - To ensure the flow of goods and materials, supervise transportation, warehousing, and stock control activities to facilitate smooth coordination between the various parties involved in the distribution planning to meet service commitments to International Business at optimum cost and inventory adherence.

Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Productivity: To continuously monitor actual production to reduce slow moving inventory. Also ensure adherence to inventory norms

2. Dispatch Planning:

a. Ensure 100% availability of supplies for IB and maintain optimum inventory levels.

b. Ensure IB container CLIP improvement.

c. Reduce stock out rate for 5 star and remaining categories.

3. Sourcing Unit Coordination: Monitor and coordinate the with production planners for outsourcing products

4. Logistics Cost: Ensure Distribution plan accuracy to lower the COPQ in the distribution area through distribution automation and pull system implementation.

5. Future Availability:

a. Analyze data to monitor performance and plan improvements and demand.

b. Manage, co-ordinate and control the order cycle and associated information systems.

c. Liaison and negotiate with customers and suppliers for accurately predicting demand and handle sudden fluctuation.
