Client Details

Our client is a US based MNC and one of leading manufacturers of edible oil. They are present in approximately 40 countries employing 35,000+ people worldwide. They specialise in export and manufacturing of edible oils, food products and biofuels.

They are currently looking for a Senior Manager - Taxation at their Mumbai office.

Description

Your responsibilities will include:

- Heading the taxation function, handling both Direct and Indirect taxation and lead the India Shared Services Center on tax operations aspects in coordination with the Global and Regional tax offices

- Review of monthly and quarterly tax provisions under I GAAP and USGAAP

- Overseeing all aspects Direct taxation, Transfer pricing and GST

- Oversee the shared services and finance team on the requirements for all India tax filings, audits, litigation and appeals.

- Lead all India corporate tax and transfer pricing representations before the ITAT/CIT(A) together with external consultants

- Provide tax advisory support on business initiatives, including but not limited to transfer pricing advisory, cash repatriation strategies, business restructuring, M&A due diligence support and legal agreement reviews

Profile

You are a qualified Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 7+ years post qualification experience. You have the in-depth understanding and direct exposure to Direct and Indirect taxation. You should have excellent communication, analytical and presentation skills and the ability to verbally and in writing communicate effectively with all levels of management and employees. Should be conversant with leading accounting packages such as SAP, Hyperion, ERP etc. You should be able to take initiative and work independently, prioritizing multiple responsibilities and activities in high-pressure situations.
