Position - Strategic Sourcing-purchase (chemical raw materials) :-

To plan, organize, strategize and execute materials requirements at most competitive price in timely manner so as to meet business goals of business for assigned material categories.

Key Responsibilities (State the primary duties and tasks of the position) -

1. Develop long term and short term sourcing strategy for assigned material categories.

2. Plan, Lead and execute cost effective sourcing of materials in a timely manner to avoid any supply disruptions to plant operations.

3. Track and monitor market dynamics and leverage the same for cost effective sourcing in a proactive manner.

4. Set up long term supply contracts.

5. Plan and minimize Working capital in line with sales & production plans

6. Develop news vendors for new and existing materials.

Others:

- Maintain safety stocks for ensuring high levels of servicing

- Review & execute actions in line with changes in demand & market dynamics.

- Ensure compliance to commercial & quality systems.

- Benchmark our costs with other countries & indexes.

- Continuous improvement in systems & processes for cost effective buying

- Monitor trends in relevant value chain regarding prices, capacities and demands for raw materials contributing to 90% of material cost.

- Identify suitable INCO terms for cost effective procurement based on emerging ocean freight trends.

Competence (Skills, knowledge, experience and attributes required)

Competencies Essential :-

- Education Graduation in stream (BE) + MBA Preferred

- Knowledge of Global procurement, import exports, New vendor development, value engineering, vendor qualification
