KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifying opportunities to deliver profitable business across the Defense sector.
- Must have ability to deal with internal stakeholders and execute tasks/ assignments set before and beyond KRAs/ KPIs
- Relationship management with key clients including Defense, Paramilitary forces and government agencies.
- Seeding product requirements at HQ, Central, Armed Force or MOD(Ministry of Defence)
- Presentation of product portfolio to officials at senior level (Marshal, Captain, Colonel, Chief etc), budget estimation, price negotiations and closing the deals.
- Developing & maintaining a relationship with clients to generate new business.
- Representing the organization in tender negotiations
- Designing and preparing business plans and sales pipeline.
- Analysis of inquiry, meeting with clients for pre-bid requirements.
- Preparing offers RFI/ EOI and delivering technical presentations to showcase the products that meet specific customer requirements.
- Tracking the business trends and review of contracts
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate for this challenging position should possess:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering complemented with a qualification in sales, marketing or similar
- Should have experience in serving in the Army, Navy or Air Force.
- Have a strong understanding of Defense business
- 10 plus years of experience in a business development role and experience of closing defense deals.
- Strong understanding of DPP & DPM
- Competitive, flexible and resourceful professional with very good networking and communication skills. Open-minded, persuasive and able to deal with all levels at customer accounts
- Talented in writing proposals, giving presentations, performing technology demonstrations, forecasting and closing transactions.
- Candidate should have strong business acumen and a real commitment to achieving goals & results
