Job Title : Senior Manager (Research)

Reports to position : Associate Director/Executive Director

Job Purpose :

To contribute to the institution and the Networked Economy department growth strategies, research pursuits and thorough administration of all research initiatives. is a multi-disciplinary research centre aimed at fostering rigorous and relevant ICT centric research, education outreach with a vision to further the understanding the impacts of technology on business and society.

Job Outline :

- The jobholder reports to the Associate Director and closely works with the Executive Director in driving the research pursuits and interests of the department and its aligned faculty members. S/he needs to explore aligned research collaborations by coordinating with external leads/ advisory board members, government bodies and industry associations to identify research opportunities for aligned faculty and create necessary proposals

- In addition to pursuing new research opportunities, the jobholder needs to manage ongoing research projects to completion through active coordination with external survey administration partners, donor agencies and internal research teams.

- The jobholder will actively monitor research project timelines, optimally allocate resources (including Research Associates time) and contribute towards timely delivery of project outcomes (highlighting insights, compliance reporting, interim project updates, final reports) across various focus areas.

- The job holder would be required to attend various academic and research focused events at the school with the purpose of generating research articles and help disseminate the new knowledge created by putting out periodic publications that reflect the departments unique capabilities and value for practitioners, governments and firms.

- To perform the above responsibilities, this position requires strong understanding of academic research, management and business issues along with the ability to analyze, summarize and develop insights. This position requires the ability to work closely with editing staff to ensure delivery of materials suitable for academic or practitioner publication outlets.

Job Specification :

Qualifications & Experience :

- Master's degree with at least 6-8 years of experience in managing and contributing towards academic/research projects preferably in an academic setting
