- This position serves as the In charge of Quality Management System & Lean Six Sigma implementation at PPG Asian Paints.

- Responsible for managing Quality System requirements, Quality Certifications, Quality Audits, drive internal Quality improvements, act as Quality Co-ordinate for monitoring customer complaint closure. Drive Quality consciousness among organization personnel. Coordinate for implementation of Lean Six Sigma principals and initiation of improvement projects at all plants.

- Ensure alignment of Operating Systems and Procedures as aligned to chosen IATF, ISO 9000 & ISO 14001 standards.

- Function as the Management Representative for these Systems.

- Coordination of Internal and External Audits.

- Conducting Management Reviews.

- Tracking communication from IATF (SIs, FAQs and other communication), communicating these to concerned functions / persons in PPGAP and revising relevant documents to address the changes.

- Tracking changes in Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs), communicating to concerned functions / persons in PPGAP and revising relevant documents & CSR matrix to address the changes.

- Review of customer scorecards, identifying areas where customer target is not met and working with concerned team to identify the actions.

- Review & revision of documents (Level 1 and Level 2) as and when required.

- Inculcate the Quality System appreciation among organizational personnel.

- Support Customer specific requirements like PSW, PPAP, SREA etc.

- Support technology & Plant in developing DFMEA, PFMEA & Control Plans.

- Training of people in organization on Quality System requirements.

- Review of customer complaints, follow up for closure and circulating reports to management.

- Drive actions for fast resolution of Customer Complaints and internal Quality Deviations

- Coordination with IT Team for resolution of iSamadhan related issues.

- Deliver training such as lean leadership, value stream mapping, kaizen, daily management, waste and variation elimination, material flow, standard work, cellular flow, SMED, 5S, visual management, lean sourcing, lean office etc.

- Facilitate Lean activities and workshops including Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S.

- Facilitate 5S system and drive for excellent result.

- Facilitate or support continuous improvement activities (SPL, Kaizen) in plants.

- Engage and inspire the manufacturing, warehouse and maintenance employees to recognize process improvement opportunities and actively participate in the realization / validation of their suggestions utilizing the appropriate Lean /CI approach (5S, Standard work, Visual Management, Short Interval Control).

- Mentor/coach employees in Six Sigma concept and knowledge.

- Coordinate and optimize other lean tools (Visualization, etc) application in plants.

- Regularly summarize, review and improve progress of Operations

- Excellence activities under support of Head Operations Excellence and management team in plants.

- As an expert in the use of the Lean tools / methods with a comprehensive knowledge of Six Sigma and descriptive statistics, lead and manage the completion of continuous improvement projects within a given timeframe to meet the department or facility goals in productivity, quality, efficiency, and safety.
