Roles and Responsibilities :

1. Quality of Design : Shall ensure design quality by carrying out proper design verification through documented design verification plans. This also includes customer validation and field trials.

2. Quality of Purchased Product : Shall monitor the quality of purchased product/component by :

- Participating in the supplier assessment during new Vendor Development.

- Inspecting the incoming material to verify its conformity to the specified requirements.

- Conducting periodic audits to the suppliers and subcontractors verify their process performance.

3. Quality of Processes : 

Shall monitor the quality of processes by :

- Verifying that the Quality Plans are available for all the products and the process is being carried out as per the Quality Plans.

- Verifying that all the people performing the process activities are well trained to their job.

- Verifying that all the monitoring and measuring equipment are calibrated periodically.

- Inspecting the finished goods and approving for dispatch.

4. Quality of Product Field Performance :

Shall monitor the quality of the product field performance by :

- Collecting the inputs from the customers and field failures data / product performance data and compare with defined standards. Verify that the actual performance rating is meeting the standard requirements.

- Ensuring that the products / services meeting the standards are allowed to continue in Manufacturing and that which are not meeting are pulled out.

- Monitoring the effectiveness of corrective actions and preventive actions implemented in the manufacturing.

5. Management Systems Documentation & Document Control :

- Documentation of process : Shall ensure repeatability of management functions, by documenting and implementing the management systems effectively.

- Maintenance of Systems : Shall ensure that the Management Systems are maintained effectively through proper control of documents & records.
