Model development - - Develop and refine the Prophet modelling functionalities in areas of Statutory Valuation, MCEV, Analysis of Movement, Business Planning, ALM etc. - Code new products launched in the Prophet models - Train and guide the team in modelling concepts as well as Prophet modelling functionalities Model Maintenance - - Undertake review of existing model functionalities to identify gaps and areas of improvement - Drive a uniform coding philosophy across various models/libraries - Improve model runtime and perform model cleanup with respect to redundant variables/tables Documentation - - Build documentation of the model detailing the model purposes, model structure, modeling simplifications, model version control etc. Risk -&nbsp; - Own-up- the risk of the function by developing a risk aware culture through participation in measurement, analysis and mitigation of risks associated with the respective function. This includes development of risk response processes, participation in contingency and business continuity programs and reporting of emerging risks with potential impacts. Also, respond to risks highlighted by employees through formal / informal mechanisms and advice on various risk management issues within the organization and provide feedback. Participate in implementing risk mitigation plan through optimum resource allocation, monitoring and reporting on status. Role Summary: Will be responsible for heading the Modeling team within the Actuarial function. Responsibilities include maintenance of Prophet models for: - Statutory Reserves and Solvency - Asset Shares and Bonus Supportability - Analysis of Surplus - Business Planning - Market Consistent Embedded Value - Analysis of Movement in MCEV - Economic Capital - ALM Skills Required- - Qualified Actuary - At least 6-7 years- experience in an Indian Life Insurance company. - Prior experience of Prophet model development and testing is a must. - Working knowledge of advanced Prophet modelling concepts such as Extended formulas, Goal seeking, Calculation looping, Summary Library, Reserve rebasing etc. is desirable.
