Senior Manager - Project Development - Renewable Energy

Position: Sr Manager - Project Development (Renewable Energy Projects) (Renewable Energy Power Producing Company)

Role:

- Responsible for providing operational and pragmatic support to the Company. The person will be responsible for the Project Development of Renewable Energy (RE) / RE Hybrid Projects. He will report to the Senior Management and will directly assist in all matters related to Project Development

- Conceptualization of RE Projects and management of all aspects of wind, solar, hybrid, and battery storage project development for either greenfield or acquired projects.

- Work with the Business Development and Finance team during the conceptualization, development and commissioning stages of the project that will include undertaking due diligence, risk analysis, scheduling, valuation and other project metrics.

- Communicate and sync cross-functionally, with utility and non-utility off-take origination, Transmission, Legal, Project Finance, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction team members regularly, to minimize project risks.

- Work in close coordination with the Business Development team with regard to PGCIL, CEA, STUs, DISCOMS and other central and state regulatory authorities.

- Identify, propose, and implement creative or alternative project development approaches that reduce exposure to development and permitting risks, optimize development schedules or drive additional project value.

- Secure permits and ensure environmental compliance throughout the development, construction, and operation of projects.

- Manage project budgets, objectives, schedules, and deliverables for assigned development objects.

- Manage and administer development services agreements with local development partners.

- Manage contractors, vendors, and consultants to maintain project timeline, value optimization, and budget.

- Engage community, local, state, and central institutions for project support.

Requirements:

- Engineering Graduate (MBA preferred)

- Post qualification work experience of about 7 to 10 years with relevant experience in a Renewable Energy Company

- Knowledge of the power and renewable energy market dynamics.

- Impressive track record in developing renewable energy projects through to COD.

- Capacity to continually adopt RE skills and knowledge about combination of RE technologies.

- Ability to concisely frame issues by providing context, analysis, recommendations, and risk/benefit tradeoffs, both in written and verbal format to project teams and to senior management.

- Capacity to create control and influence over the costs, terms, and schedules of key project milestones.

- Strong understanding of the relationships within a project schedule to prioritize teams' resource allocation.

- Extensive knowledge of the full cycle of utility-scale renewable power generation, development, and marketing.

- Good communications skills, both written and verbal form and making presentations.
