Sr Manager, Product Management -Lending (Consulting, Financial Services, Leading banks)

You will articulate compelling user stories, crisply define customer and product requirements, own the product roadmap, and refine specifications and architecture through the product life-cycle. You will work closely with design, project management, and engineering teams in an agile environment to launch products and bring them to market. You will have to manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance, and operational support. Once launched, you will work with marketing, sales, business development, finance, and account management to drive the adoption of your product and further refine features and functionality basis live customer feedback. You will be accountable for ensuring that the product complies with the external regulation, and the operating processes and systems you setup is scalable from a compliance and reporting standpoint.

As the business and product lead of consumer lending vertical for India Payments, you will have the exciting opportunity to work on one of India's most important initiatives. Over the next several years, the digital payments landscape is going to fundamentally change and will play a significant part in this change. India Payments- vision is to be the most trusted, accessible, frictionless and ubiquitous payments system, preferred by millions of customers to pay in a wide range of use cases and contexts. You will help shape and deliver on a strategy to enable lending across a variety of use cases across the entire online/mobile app/ offline ecosystem. Towards this, you will need to identify gaps/opportunities where Lending can transform the customer experience and drive delight, loyalty, and frequency of use for customers and merchants. You will bring a heightened sense of ownership, thought leadership and product building expertise to a fast-paced start-up environment, and you will be partnering with technology teams and stakeholders across the company to drive business outcomes.

A successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent business acumen & vision, product & program management skills, and a highly effective people leader who can work in a highly ambiguous environment. A key to success will be the ability to work with the various teams across the company, and the external aggregator and merchant and lending ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define market opportunity, business strategy, product roadmap and GTM strategy including sign off from senior leadership

- Solve difficult and complex topics such as improving lending and co-branded card experience for customers within regulatory constraints

- Build and refine specific product requirements for various identified market segments

- Negotiating with partners to achieve the vision, in conjunction with other payments teams

- Drive execution of product roadmap, GTM, and consumer adoption by partnering with internal stakeholders (tech, sales, operations). Making smart trade-offs, coordinate dependencies, and maintain communication throughout the organization to guarantee smooth and efficient product delivery.

- Oversee a team of product/program managers to achieve business goals (this is a people manager role)

Basic Qualifications

- 10+ years relevant work experience in Product Management & Payments & Lending

- Sound Understanding of e-Commerce Retail Fundamentals

- Management Degree

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Demonstrated experience in conceptualizing, developing, launching and scaling new consumer products in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment

- Fluency in English required
