Senior Manager - Procurement - Cyber Securities Domain

Role Description and Purpose: 

The job holder provides procurement support to business teams that are directly supporting our customers. The job holder is expected to help ensure our supply chains are effective and responsive such that they help us exceed the expectations of our customers and help us win and retain business.

Responsibilities : 

- Work with product teams to define sourcing and execute sourcing strategies in the Cyber Securities Space (Specially)

- Create and develop relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders

- Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers for goods and services ensure the best terms possible are obtained to win customer deals

- Ensure purchases are executed in a timely manner and in accordance with the companies policies

- Ensure robust contracts are in place for important contracts

- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

- Collaborate with key persons including demand & delivery manager to ensure clarity of the specifications and SLAs

- Develop risk management plans for key category areas to ensure security of supply

- Seek out supply chain advantages to help the business improve its ability to compete and win

Job Requirements: 

- Experience of working in a similar role ideally within a telecoms environment

- 12 years + procurement experience at least half of which should be in Cyber Security space & reset in buying telecoms/IT/software

- Experience of working in a presales environment is desirable

- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills

- Good knowledge of sourcing, procurement and supplier management

- Experience of leading contract negotiations (including software licences)

- Well organised and self-motivated individual capable of working with a high degree of autonomy

- Ability to work under time pressure and with some amount of ambiguity

- Possess analytical skills to determine the best deals for the company and have to evaluate the many pros and cons of each supplier based on price, quality, speed of delivery and other factors

- Full member of CIPS or possession of a similar procurement/supply chain qualification is desirable
