Senior Manager - Procurement

About Function: Raw Material Consolidation (RMC) :

This function manages raw material business mainly ferrous and non-ferrous commodities. Trading of aluminium mainly, strategic relationships to build import partnerships for the same.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- The Aluminium Sales leader will be crucial in generating new primary Aluminium ( Ingots, billets, wire rods, sow ingots) business and building client relationships.

- Enable and take care of all hedging decisions to safeguard risk related to commodities

- Maintain a proper PNL for primary aluminium

- Develop and maintain all supplier relationships with suppliers like NALCO, RUSAL etc and negotiate the best possible pricing with them. Maintain their accounts and relationships for supplies and availability. Key Objectives of the role (Aluminium PRIMARY)

- The supply Partnerships Manager will play a crucial role in managing the relationship with strategic supply partners of the Non-Ferrous Business thereby ensuring competitive pricing of target SKUs and ready stock availability.

- For the non-ferrous business, strategic partners would include direct domestic manufacturers, traders/stockists and importers who partner with us for additional revenue generated via the demand that the sales team fetches from the market

- This position requires a strong understanding of hedging as all hedging decisions (PNL) will be made by the same apart from the operations part.

- Develop and implement control mechanisms to track the effectiveness of pricing, efficiency of capital deployed and smooth alignment of service operations with the onboarded partners

- Manage demand to fulfil the MOU of Nalco by signing back-to-back MOUs with strategic accounts.

- Manage the demand of these customers and maintain monthly sales consistently.

As a Supply Partnerships Manager/Demand (Strategic accounts) (Non-Ferrous Business) a typical month will include:

- Led strategic discussions with enterprise scale manufacturers like Nalco, Vedanta etc to establish MOUs for the supply of agreed volumes ensuring competitive pricing for our customers

- Identifying and Onboarding traders as supply partners who stock relevant SKUs and also facilitate services like warehousing and hedging

- Negotiate commercials (rates, payment terms, etc) with strategic partners

- Manage the availability of supplies

- Manage all hedging decisions and maintain books for the same.

- Identify and acquire new Strategic clients for the Aluminium business. Negotiate commercials ( rates, payment terms etc) with clients.

- Collaborate extensively with internal cross-functional teams like Operations, Finance, Product etc, to drive impactful outcomes.
