Key Responsibilities:

- Execute Strategic Sourcing Process: Lead the strategic sourcing process to fulfill business requirements and achieve optimal outcomes.

- Negotiation and Analysis: Conduct negotiations with suppliers, analyze price proposals, and review them to ensure alignment with budgeted targets.

- Supplier and Sourcing Management: Manage sourcing activities and relationships with suppliers within the assigned portfolio, providing effective solutions to support plant operations.

- Contribute to Category Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including teams from different plants and supplier management, to contribute to the development of category strategies aligned with the company's goals.

- Propose and Manage Annual Sourcing Plans: Develop and implement annual sourcing plans considering existing market conditions and long-term strategic objectives to deliver optimal results.

- Build and Maintain Category Expertise: Stay updated with market intelligence and insights related to the plastic raw material category, building and maintaining category expertise to inform decision-making processes.

- Coordination with Other Departments: Collaborate with other departments such as Marketing, Engineering, and New Product Development (NPD) to coordinate cost reduction processes effectively.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE or B.Tech) or a related field.

- 10-15 years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, preferably in the plastic raw material category.

- Proven ability to execute strategic sourcing processes and deliver optimal results.

- Strong negotiation skills and ability to analyze and review price proposals.

- Excellent supplier management abilities.

- Experience in contributing to the development of category strategies.

- Proficiency in developing and managing annual sourcing plans.

- Knowledge of market intelligence and insights related to the plastic raw material category.

- Effective coordination and collaboration skills with other departments.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
