Senior Manager - Motor Insurance Underwriting

Duties And Responsibilities:

- Have experience in handling various automation projects, new innovative technologies like automating rule engine, AI / RPA based automation of underwriting processes etc.

- Have done product development and regulatory filing for Motor UW.

- Understands analytics and portfolio management techniques for Underwriting Management.

- Have a good understanding of the Indian motor tariff. Review the Motor Referrals (analyses) and related findings- implementations.

- To drive various Motor regulatory projects - Vahan

- Responds to Request for Proposals (RFPs) in a timely and accurate manner; Analyzes and drives decisions on RFP responses.

- Provides technical training and mentoring to less experienced Underwriting colleagues as well as Sales Representatives.

Technical Skills:

- Good understanding of technical underwriting, Indian motor tariff, underwriting processes and portfolio management.

- Good understanding of product filing and IRDAI regulations.

- Good communication and strong negotiating skills.

- Highly developed analytical skills and a good understanding of financial metrics (KPI- s).

- Result and delivery focused.

Knowledge:

- Comprehensive knowledge of Motor coverages, wordings and pricing methodologies.

- Good knowledge of the Indian insurance market, market players and market segments including potential exposures.

- Analytical approach to pricing and exposure assessment.
