- Assortment planning and merchandising activities (pre, in season and post season) for the channel keeping in mind the overall Brand KPIs, sales and margin targets.
- Range selection and buying to reflect brand strategy as well as channel specific consumer needs.
- Understanding, tracking, and implementing market/competition trends and maximizing business potential by liaising with category teams to fill product gaps (gender/category/price/product type)
- Right pricing strategy for the future season assortments aligned with the category teams, keeping in mind competition price benchmarking and channel gross margin targets.
- Supervising Retail Allocations keeping in mind the right product, right door, right time. Involves understanding of Grading/Banding/Clustering of Retail doors.
- Optimizing SKU efficiency, ASP, and ROS for the channel.
- Ensuring timely launch and inward planning for the stores.
- Supervising periodic replenishments for stores.
- Controlling inventory levels through regular sales/sell through analysis and markdown planning based on targeted margins.
- Market study to keep in touch with market trends, competition pricing and new innovations.
- Understanding of store layouts & requirements to optimize stock efficiency for the season.
- Regular updates to the international team during buying of a season & regular course of business.
- Preempting merchandise problems for the channel and proactively solving them by defining action plan for team members.
