Sr Manager-Inhouse Corporate Legal

We are looking out for potential legal candidates who have strong litigation management experience and who have the ability to handle labour and employment law related disputes. The candidate should be willing to travel and must be fluent in English and Kannada (knowledge of Telugu will be an added advantage keeping in view our Plant locations and place of disputes).

Job Responsibilities:

1. Litigation management involving:

a) Briefing Advocates and Senior Counsels on legal cases of the company viz., area disputes, Electricity matters, Cheque bounce cases

b) Reviewing affidavits written statements etc and providing inputs to Counsel to aid in their drafting of written submissions

c) Maintaining an updated litigation database and ensuring that the Litigation Management tool is up to date

d) attending Court hearings and briefing management of the developments

2 Assist the HR Dept in the management and handling of all labour and employment related matters in the Company and assist in employment related litigation grievances and arbitrations

3 Drafting review and negotiation of commercial contracts viz Agreements relating to Harvesting and Transportation, procurement, NDAs, MOUs, Supply and Distribution, Consultancy agreements, Service Level Agreements etc

4 Reply to Show Cause Notices received from various statutory regulatory and Government authorities on various issues concerning the company

5 General Business legal advisory on varied issues including product Control Order and State laws governing production, FSSAI, FCO property law stamp duty registration etc

Candidate Profile:

a) In house legal counsel who can ably assist on litigations and labour and employment related matters

b) Establishes and maintains relationships, credibility and trust with clients, vendors, internal and external stakeholders

c) Should be fluent in English and Kannada - Role requires extensive interactions with local courts, tribunals and regulatory authorities in Urban and rural Karnataka

d) Telugu also desirable - The person may take additional responsibility for 1 Andhra Pradesh plant

Language Proficiency (if any) : Kannada (Must), English, Telugu (Advantage)
