Senior Manager/Manager - Financial Accounting & Financial Reporting - Life Insurance

LIFE INSURANCE EXPERIENCE IS MANDATORY

- To administer and manage general accounting activities and the preparation of financial statements & to provide reliable information to the management. To ensure financial compliance as directed by IRDAI

- Prepare financial reports to internal as well as external customers.

- These include financial statements for promoters

- Financial statements under Indian GAAP

- Financial statements under Ind AS regulations

- Prepare special accounting reports and cost statements as required. Analyse the operating expense reports and identify the reasons for variance as compared to previous reporting periods

- Carry out allocation of operating expense to various business segments / products / departments as per agreed parameters and in accordance with the expense allocation policy

- Supervise the maintenance of company's general ledgers and ensure all schedules available as required.

- Oversee maintenance of Oracle Financials and interfaces between Oracle & other applications and review reconciliation as required. Resolve accounting issues and responsible for preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports, review the reports prepared

- Ensure activities relating to the function comply with relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards, New Business sign off, Public Disclosures, BAP Returns and other statutory & regulatory compliances

- Co-operate with and assist with internal & external auditors

- Sharing of financial information with management and audit committee in order to ensure compliance with finance, accounting and auditing standards
