We seek candidates based out of Mumbai, for the following role for a leading Fertilizer Industry
Position:- Sr. Manager Logistics & Planning
Location:- Mumbai
Qualification: - MBA/PGDIPLOMA in Supply Chain/IMPORT EXPORT/ Logistics
Years of Experience:- 12 to 15 yrs
Critical Experience or exposure deemed essential:- EXIM operations, DGFT liaison, Knowledge of HS code, international logistics, INCO terms, IMDG rules, Import/Export documentation, Sales & Operations planning, Inventory Management, 3PL, Customer support, Multiple plant operations, MRP, SAP (SD&MM)
Job Responsibilities:-
1. Establish, in conjunction with the Head of SCM & Commercial, the processes for SCM planning in line with the SCM strategy and organizational objectives
2. Design and develop appropriate SCM optimization models to help in reducing costs, and improving response times to internal and external customers
3. Design develop and deploy process for generating MRP and Production plans from Demand plans (sales plan)
4. Carry out Production plan and Materials Requirement Planning, factoring in all required information and co-ordinate with the Sales team, internal purchase teams (at corporate and unit levels) to ensure zero production loss situations
5. Identify, negotiate and contract with logistics service providers for domestic and export logistics
6. Manage on a monthly or other required periodicity, reverse auctioning of logistic services, so as to help gain cost advantage
7. In conjunction with the Sales and Marketing, Customer Service team and also the plants, prepare, review and monitor the dispatch plans ensuring that the customer requirements per commitments are fully met (OTIF)
8. Standardize the processes across the 3 plants, with regards logistics, ensuring rate and service level compatibility
9. Identify and appoint service providers for specific activities such as 3rd party inspection, export & import facilitation etc.
10. Ensure that all the benefits from the export import processes accrue to the organization - in time and in full.
11. Review the existing processes in the organization - including IT systems, so as to help in increasing/improving the planning and scheduling efficiencies
12. Guide, support and enable reporting teams to perform at high levels of individual and group efficiency
