Roles & Responsibilities:
The candidate shall be responsible for providing quality legal services across the full range of legal topics concerning all of the organization's business units - supporting the Legal Director, business managers and operational managers to ensuring the business is being conducted in a legally compliant and effective manner in accordance with policies. Roles and responsibilities include:
- Provide legal advice and counsel to operational areas in India to ensure that the current and proposed activities, policies, business practices and transactions comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Support the legal and Corporate Compliance divisions by coordinating the corporate compliance activities needed such as training and focused campaigns and managing appropriate Compliance Committee meetings.
- Identify and address issues of legal risk and compliance risks
- Support the Legal Director to prepare contracts, letters and other documents related to a variety of trade, commercial, promotional, regulatory, financial and other operational matters to protect the company assets and the overall organization's legal and business interests
- Support the Legal Director on active and/or defense litigation including ensuring proper representation by outside counsel (while securing case reporting and strategic alignment)
- Provide advice and support on all IP activities and developments in the country
Candidate's profile:
- Qualification: LLB, masters degree an added advantage
- Experience in working in a multi-national company
- 10-12 years of work experience
- Working knowledge/ familiarity in dealing with Corporate Laws, litigations, IPR etc.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical laws (not necessary but will be an added advantage)
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with proven ability to work in a team
- Process & results oriented
