Responsibilities :
As a Manager/Senior Manager - Legal, you will be responsible for providing strategic legal counsel and support to our organisation. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in the financial sector with expertise in drafting and vetting investment banking agreements. The role involves a combination of litigation and non-litigation work, administrative responsibilities, and liaising with regulatory authorities.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial Sector Knowledge and Experience : Demonstrate in-depth understanding and practical experience in the financial sector, staying updated on relevant industry trends and regulations.
Drafting and Vetting Investment Banking Agreements: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of investment banking agreements, ensuring compliance with legal standards and organisational policies.
Assisting Seniors with Legal Work : Collaborate with senior legal professionals to provide comprehensive legal support, contributing to the achievement of organisational goals.
Litigation and Non-Litigation Matters Handling: Manage legal matters with a focus on both litigation (30%) and non-litigation (70%) cases, ensuring effective resolution and risk mitigation.
Attending Court Hearings: Represent the organisation in court hearings, presenting legal arguments, and ensuring the protection of the organisation's interests.
Handling Administrative Work: Oversee administrative tasks related to the legal function, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance with internal processes.
Liaising with Regulatory Authorities: Establish and maintain effective relationships with regulatory authorities in the Indian financial sector, ensuring compliance with regulations and facilitating clear communication.
Experience and Education: 5-8 years of relevant experience in a legal role within the financial sector.
- LLB/CS qualification is mandatory.
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory authorities governing the Indian financial sector.
