SENIOR MANAGER LEGAL - Mumbai

Streamline processes for legal activities with special focus on contracts for all aspects of business for 8 plants & 13 sales offices

Draft agreements & manage contracts for franchisee activities & sales, dealer & distributors, affidavits, leave & license, indemnities, NDA's, reply to government notices, production & vendor related etc.

Responsible for litigation support, legal notices, keep records of all licenses & compliances

Support filing of cases & defend cases filed against Company - criminal & Civil

Handle of S/138 cases, consumer case notices, attend court & liaison with advocates

Update statutory License for all plants & coordinate with plant legal team

All legal compliances for upcoming projects & prepare IEM, application forms & compliance check list

Handle situations in a not very structured set-up

Knowledge of general laws, FDA knowledge

Very good drafting skills & communicator, hands on lawyer

LLb, 10-12 years experience, 32-35 years of age, lady or gentleman, Rs. 15-18 lakhs per annum

Have 4 vacancies in priority:

1. Contracts: franchisee agreements, leave & licence, NDA, sales deeds, vendors in FMCG and F&B, service providers, procurement terms etc

2. IPR & Trademarks [do not want a patent lawyer because it is not repetitive]

3. Compliances & due diligence: for land, plant audit & production, EHS audit, licenses. FSSAI compliances [Food Safety and Standards Authority of India], Labor acts & registers. Meteorology accountant, Food act

4. Litigation: only as employee, should surrender sanath: well networked with court & government authorities; know which counsel he has interacted with [to know his caliber]; all litigation matters for their industry

Should be from FMCG, Pharma or F&B, not from capital goods manufacturing

Will be given a drafting written test

Only corporate experience, no retainer or law firm guys
