- A key-aspect of the role is selection, training, and evaluation of the skills of the supervisors and their staffs in making the investment judgments involved with the consulting-support processes they are performing
- Responsible for mentoring and leading a group of front line managers on client deliverables in an investment research and project based environment
- Own accountability by being able to help the teams troubleshoot issues in projects on both technical and business side
- Prepare deliverables, quality review the same and provide guidance to managers/team members
- Ensure seamless and superior client service delivery with focus on meeting challenging deadlines and SLAs and urgent, unexpected special requests
- Client/Onshore relationship management and enhancement
- Work in liaison with onshore colleagues for driving workflow improvement initiatives within the group, find best practices and process efficiencies, providing suggestions and offering testing/feedback of potential solutions
- Define annual plan for training based on requirements of their teams
- Ensure high quality training of new team members, so maintaining and retaining optimum levels of knowledge and output
- Review performance of team against goals and take corrective measures as required
- Define and drive the standard employee measurement factors like KRAs, mentoring and Project SLAs
- Define, delegate and monitor the various employee engagement initiatives for the assigned shop viz; E&R framework, Conduct meetings as per Connect Framework and so on
Required qualifications and skills
- Experience of analyzing investment portfolios or researching investment managers located outside of India
- Strong level of understanding and proper usage of investment-related terminology in written and verbal communication in English
- Exposure to research on investment, equity, fixed income and alternative products
- Ability to understand the link between data, client needs and its application to the - bigger picture-
- Experience with project management tools and practices
- Strong people management skills and ability to connect and manage onshore stakeholders
- High proficiency in Excel and proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to learn new systems/programs quickly, train others, and understand technology role in the context of the project
- Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities and work in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment, ensuring standards and deadlines are met and keeping others informed and up-to-date
Education:
- Successful Candidate should be an MBA Finance and pursuing CFA. Certified CFA will be preferred
Eligibility:
- 9-10 years of overall experience, out of this 4-5 years should be managerial experience in Investment Research, preferably in wealth management or investment advisory business
