Job description:

Accountability: Think Business-Use Technology

1. Responsible for identification to the execution of business solutions that are aligned with business strategy and contributes to:

a. Strengthening distribution-Increasing sales.

b. Enhancing customer experience.

c. Improving efficiency.

d. Reducing cost.

Requirement Gathering -

a. Work closely with business to mine and discover requirements, identify and assess areas for technology adaption-improvement.

b. Recommend suitable process and/ changes along with solutions to achieve optimum results.

c. Innovate, expand and extend the scope of existing solutions-technology for areas beyond implemented scope.

d. Partner with functions in scoping requirements, planning and execution and managing change.

Digital Solutions and their Implementation

a. Participate in executing the digital roadmap for the designated sales vertical.

b. Strive to be the industry first in terms of technology adoption.

c. Regularly scan and be abreast of developments by competition, industry for initiatives and solutions worthy of being adapted.

d. Demonstrate proof of concept using prototypes and / pilot implementations.

e. Use of agile and lean methodologies to ensure speedy and efficient implementations and roll-out.

Program Management for Strategic Projects

1. Involvement with the user team to finalise on the concept note, business case-benefits and approvals as per the policies and guidelines.

2. On approval, prepare a project charter, draft plan and present detail of cost, time and scope to the appropriate authority (steering committee/governance body/function heads - IT and project sponsor) for approval.

3. Evaluate and recommend the buy-build decisions. (Where required - this could be a sub-project within an overall project).

Delivery Management:

1. Effective gathering and analysis of user requirements.

2. Sign off on the FSD.

3. Assist the development teams in understanding the functional requirements

4. Periodic dipsticks to ensure adherence to development timelines.

5. Manage UAT and stakeholder sign off.

6. Effective project closure to meet business objectives.

Project Management for BAU Projects

Work closely with IBM delivery team through the identified projects lifecycle including the following:

1. Effective gathering and analysis of user requirements.

2. Sign off on the FSD.

3. Assist the development teams in understanding the functional requirements

4. Periodic dipsticks to ensure adherence to development timelines.

5. Manage UAT and stakeholder sign off.

6. Effective project closure to meet business objectives.

Vendor Management

This will include:

1. Selection -

- Preparation of RFI

- Preparation of RFP

- Evaluation of RFP's

- Shortlisting of vendors.

- Recommend the final vendors to program manager - appropriate authority for selection.

2. Management -

- Information on new technology/research purposes

- Knowledge sharing

- Information for prospective projects

Adoption

1. Train and educate users to ensure optimal systems usage.

2. Constantly manage and review system performance to ensure that the system is able to meet its deliverables as per TAT.
