Primary Responsibilities :

Tax Compliance :

- Ensuring Timely and proper filing of Tax return

- Ensuring Timely payment of Tax

- Attending and Ensuring Tax Notices & queries of the Dept.

- Annual VAT Audits & Returns

Tax Assessments :

- Effective completion & closure of Tax Assessment

- Co-ordination with Tax Consultants for effective submissions & representation of information.

Tax Litigation :

- Effective completion of appeals before Commissioners/ Tribunal / Courts

- Effective submissions for specific issue

- Co-ordination with inter dept. & Tax consultants for litigation matters

Tax Accounting & Audit :

- VAT Reconciliations

- Review of Tax levied in books of accounts before payment of taxes.

- Ensuring Timely updation of Contingent liability, confirmations and closure

- Management Declaration Forms

- Ensuring Timely filing of Applications and obtaining Declaration forms from Dept.

- Ensuring Timely issuance of declaration forms to Vendors

- Ensuring proper records of Declarations forms

Business Advisory Support :

- Issuance of Tax policies

- Highlighting Tax Risk Area

- Working with management to reduce Tax Risk

- Review & approval of Tax code

- Classification of Goods & Applicable Tax rates
