Already a team of 100+, we appreciate the importance of HR in building a world-class company and are looking for someone to lead the HR function. This is an opportunity for individuals to transcend traditional HR roles and build a dynamic work culture.

We love to work with driven people who are eager to create impact. We are in search of an excellence-oriented individual who has a track record of leading in People, Culture, and talent and knows how to build a team of 200+.

How much of this role is Strategic & Execution?

At our current stage, all roles have a dual responsibility of functional & execution/operational. Managers are also 'do-ers' and need to get involved in the day-to-day execution. This role is perfect for someone with a strong experience of being a part of scaling teams and is able to build and map our talent to the business goals.

What are some of the broad-level deliverables for this role?

- People Development & Retention

- Compensation, reward & Performance Mgmt

- Focused execution on HR Ops, compliance and policies.

Who are we looking for?

- High Empathy: Understand and be a listening board to the team

- Curious: You must have a high level of curiosity to get to the bottom of things fast

- Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to understand and solutionize; strong self-reliance and ability to work independently.

- Ownership Mindset: Ability to work independently through challenges and problems to come up with solutions.

- Highly Organized: Structured note-taking, tracking projects and outcomes.

- Excellent Communication: You should not only have excellent verbal and written communication but should be a Proactive Communicator

What makes the ideal candidate for this role?

- 7+ years experience in managing a complete HR gamut

- Expertise/thoughtfulness across the recruiting lifecycle: hiring across levels and roles in a fast-paced startup, with the strategy and operations of recruiting, compensation negotiation, and benefits & onboarding.

- Previous experience working in a startup environment, ideally seed/series A/B/C stage - understanding that every day you must 'embrace the chaos' but work towards structure and being 'over-organised' (if that's even a word!).

What key traits will you need?

- Founder mentality - you will have a growth mindset and embrace figuring things out.

- Prioritize ruthlessly - we move (very) fast, so your priorities will constantly evolve. You will need to keep disciplined in the important work, and not get distracted by low ROI tasks

- "Startup Nerd" - You don't need to be an expert on start-ups, but you should have an intrinsic interest and passion for startups. This will be tested in our interviews!

- We are the very definition of a fast-paced start-up. It's incredibly liberating, and we may not get things right all of the time (90% of the time we do!) but we accept this is the trade-off for moving at pace and innovating. Ultimately everything will be measured as results matter, but (particularly) for this position we want to constantly be challenging the status quo.
