Role Description :
- Sr. Manager / Manager - HR & Admin is responsible for setting up the HR function and overseeing the administration of UWB.
- Responsible for staffing, hiring, onboarding, orientation, exits, performance management, payroll processing, HR policies and statutory compliance of all labour laws.
- Responsible for the administration and Information Technology function to enable smooth operations for the rest of the organization. ( 80% of the role would be of HR and the rest as a facilitator for admin )
Responsibilities :
- HR Policies and procedures
- Adequate knowledge of the current laws specific to HR policies / Labour rules.
- Abreast of the current trends in HR, learning tools and ability to implement them.
- Manage the recruitment, selection, induction and orientation for all new employees at UWB
- Onboard the employees with appropriate paper work, documentation and background/ reference checks
- Ensure the organization structure is reviewed and designations are aligned. Write out JDs for each role in the organization before the role is added to the structure
- Ensure people policies (leave policy, prevention of sexual harassment policy, DEI, etc.) are captured online/ in a handbook and available to all employees at UWB
- Design the HR policies that will reflect the values of the organization and support the growth of the organization
- Ensure systems and processes are set up to enable performance management, payroll, compensation benchmarking, promotions and succession planning
- Ensure statutory compliance is adhered to and all documentation is maintained for internal and external audits
- Help the line managers / CEO in undertaking reviews; appraisals, setting up OKRs at regular and agreed upon time intervals.
- Help Identify Potential candidates for mentoring and coaching and inform Line Managers / CEO's accordingly for future action.
- Enable learning and capacity building opportunities for employees in the organization through a robust L&D Calendar for the team.
- Maintain database, generate reports on key people metrics and share with internal stakeholders/ board of directors
- Build capacity of program teams and NGOs around people development and people policies
Administration :
- Plan and implement seating plan to ensure office space is created as and when new employees are inducted
- Support teams in facilitating and organizing events/ seminars/ conclaves conducted by UWB
- Ensure office equipment's (printer, AC etc.) and office supplies are procured and used judiciously
- Oversee end to end office management and administration on a day to day basis
- Ensure administration policies like (reimbursement policy, travel policy etc.) are captured online/ in a handbook and available to all employees at UWB
IT Maintenance :
- Set up routine maintenance of the hardware and software equipment that are used in the office. Contract with vendors for annual maintenance of equipment
- Manage and troubleshoot any network, server, hardware related issues as and when required with the help of vendor partners
- Coordinate the testing and deployment of new software when they are deployed in the organization
