With 17 offices across the Bay Area, BPM serves emerging and mid-cap businesses as well as high-net-worth individuals in a broad range of industries, including financial services, technology, life science, manufacturing, food, wine and craft brewing, automotive, nonprofits, real estate and construction.


Position Overview:


- This role will bring objectivity to the team and value to the business by executing strategic direction, drive performance and build a successful work environment and culture.


- This individual will interact with all levels within the organization and should be client service driven.


- Serving as the primary relationship owner for assigned businesses with responsibility to proactively recommend strategic people solutions to complex business matters.


- Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, the Senior Manager will work in collaboration with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Benefits, Payroll, Diversity & Inclusion teams etc. to ensure HR initiatives are properly and clearly rolled out.


- This role acts as an advocate, trusted advisor, and strategic partner for employees, managers and leaders.


- Lead the HR component of Business Combinations through the creation of a critical path which documents necessary strategies, HR administration, workforce planning, benefit administration, culture and engagement and enhanced on-boarding practices to create a seamless integration of the firms.


- Partner with the Chief People Officer, to align business strategies.


- Serve as a subject matter expert in the area of coaching; educate and collaborate with internal coaches to work through challenges in various situational conditions to achieve positive outcomes.


- Update the Chief People Officer on relevant business concerns, applicable business changes or updates during a regular cadence.


Responsibilities:


- Act as the system administrator and primary point of contact for our performance management system, UKG. (One or more Business Partners will have ownership of the Performance Management process).


- Collaborate with HR Team to execute the performance evaluation process, including but not limited to, initiating evaluation processes, goal setting (KPI) exercises, data entry updates to performance management system, coordination of evaluation meetings, communicating timelines and presentation of evaluation results.


- Proactively partner with the Chief People Officer & Controller on compensation recommendations and assist/lead with the annual compensation process as they align to the Performance Management process.


- Use data, particularly in relation to diversity, turnover, and employee engagement to develop solutions to challenge and drive positive and needed change throughout the organization.


- Infuse Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) practices into BPMs culture, fostering and environment of inclusion and support.


- Partner with the business to plan and execute organizational initiatives; participate in business meetings as a value-added resource. Model courageous and constructive dialogue, offer solutions to foster conversation and critical thinking to deliver difficult and complex messages.


- Provide input on workforce planning (organizational design), succession planning, talent and skills needs.


- Work closely with designated practice group/business unit to resolve issues and provide HR guidance on topics such as performance, talent acquisition, diversity & inclusion, development, onboarding, organizational change, engagement, retention and change management.


- Support the Chief People Officer on ER matters and co-lead investigations by resolving complex issues and addressing grievances to deliver positive outcomes.


- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to review open head count and future organizational needs by attracting, retaining, and promoting a diverse workforce.


- Participate on cross-functional project teams, as well as working hands-on side by side with subject matter experts to develop HR programs that align with department and company goals.


- Implement HR policies at an advanced level of technical and functional expertise as an experienced generalist by partnering with business operations to ensure complete understanding of business needs and objectives.


- Drive a feedback focused culture that provides real-time feedback, development plans and suggestions. Educate, coach and partner on performance management and employee development goals (KPIs).


- Provide training and communication on firm updates, policy interpretation, and HR practices or initiatives.


- Collaborate with learning & development (BPMU) to work on value-added programs in areas of training, development, career mobility, High potential program (Next Gen), 9 Box, and job performance.


- Proactively monitors the work environment to identify and address trends, areas of improvement to increase employee engagement through surveys, stay interviews, exit interviews and off-boarding processes.


- In tandem with HR Team, ensure that employee information, is entered into the system accordingly.


- Compile HR metrics and data to share with the business as needed.


Requirement & Skill:


- Working knowledge with U.S. HR teams and bridging the two worlds will be an essential part for the success of this role.


- Superior verbal and written communications skills


- Experience managing a diverse and remote workforce while incorporating on-going Diversity, Equity & Inclusion practices into the firm.


- Must be self-motivated, highly organized, with the ability to prioritize independently while demonstrating a sense of urgency, strong ethical standards, confidentiality and integrity.


- Coaching certification is a plus.


- Ability to represent the firm and business with professionalism, poise and model the BPM values.


- Proven organizational and follow-up skills, comfortable initiating and responding to high volume of emails.


- Adept at working in demanding, deadline-driven environment with a task-driven focus.


- Accustomed to serving as a Change Agent - highly adaptable, dependable with an entrepreneurial

spirit.


- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to successfully troubleshoot and resolve unexpected roadblocks, barriers and inquiries from internal clients.


- Working from office will be a preference.


Education and Experience:


- 17-20 years experience in HR Operations


- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, fluency in English


- Excellent organizational and co-ordination skills


- Stakeholder Management, Team working and Collaborative approach


- Result orientations with execution excellence
