Senior Manager - HR Generalist - NGO

We are looking for a Senior HR Manager to join and lead our Human Resources and department for a NGO.

Location: Mumbai,(Frequent travel to Raigad, Maharashtra)

Summary :

We are looking for a Senior HR Manager to help us monitor the department and create a healthy work environment for our employees. . HR responsibilities include payroll, benefits, hiring, separation, Training and Development and keeping up to date with state and federal tax laws. We are looking for a seasoned HR practitioner willing to contribute actively to Human Resource Management and help us gain position in the Top 10 Great Places to Work

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Setting objectives for the HR function and tracking progress

- Designing and implementing company policies that promote a healthy work environment

- Oversee and direct payroll procedures

- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations

- Design and implement company policies that promote a healthy work environment

- Support and suggest improvements to the entire recruitment process

- Discuss employees' career development paths with managers

- Monitor HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates and cost-per-hire)

- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies

- Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits

- Identifying and assessing future and current training needs

- Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers

Requirements and skills :

- 10 to 15 years proven work experience as a Senior HR Manager or similar role

- Excellent communication and Leadership skills

- Good computer and database skills

- Ability to foster healthy employee relations

- MBA in HR or relevant certification is a plus
