Functionally:
- Should understand People Strategy and can contribute creatively towards it (should have played some role in their previous experience towards this);
- Someone who is a quick learner and can pick up nuances on the business well (such as ability to understand how a health deal/business can be different from a pharma deal/business etc);
- Knows HR functional stuff in practice - example if there is an attrition problem, how has the person solved it well in his/her previous experiences;
- Functional knowledge wise strong on basics and fundamental of Human Resources domain in terms of processes, policies etc;
- Be able to work effectively with other COEs in a matrix relationship and contribute constructively (example Total Rewards, Learning etc)
- Also be able to work with impact and gravitas with business stakeholders and teams
- Should have exposure of HR best practices to an extent so that the person can bring in a fresh perspective.
