Experience managing at least 3 categories of the below 4 (with IT being the major category);

- IT (Hardware, Software, Labor, Consulting)

- Professional Services, Marcomm, Corporate Services

- Facilities (Retail & Corporate Facilities, MRO, Maintenance services), Fuel & Energy etc

- Supply Chain (Logistics - Airfreight, Ocean freight, Trucks & Trailers)

Responsibility Statements

- Brings industry expertise in supporting category strategies that drive savings and business transformation. Analyzes the supply market to understand industry trends, market competitiveness, goods, services, alternatives, etc.

- Spend management - Market intelligence, analyze the spend and patterns to identify opportunity for consolidation, supplier base rationalization, demand management, alternative analysis etc.

- Manages & Leads sourcing team. Leverages sourcing experience across categories & industries to deliver on the assigned savings targets and other KPIs.

- Experience in complete procurement cycle: should be experienced in Source to Contract (S2C) and Procure to Pay (P2P) activities and operations.

- Develops creative and innovative strategies that drive significant "next level" results. Presents materials to stakeholders and ensures confident decision making in a timely manner.

- Supports ESS Associate Director in India to exert influence internally and externally in negotiations to maximize the value of deals. Supports broader sourcing team in development of negotiation plans.

- Responsible for life-cycle contract management for assigned projects while leveraging relevant partners across the organization.

- Partners with the global business units for relationship management activities and contributes to category roadmap for the global category leaders to maximize value from suppliers.

- Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers to ensure that they are committed to ensure contract objectives are achieved effectively.

- Coach and develop team members through work assignment, direct training and regular feedback in order to achieve Organization's current/future goals and succession planning needs.

- Operational Excellence - Manage designated work stream to meet customer and business needs by translating business plans into tactical action items. Structure clear goals and objectives for the team. Build accountability for and measure progress in achieving results. Identify and address improvement opportunities. Assume responsibility for decision making.

- Culture and Compliance - Act as sponsor of culture by nurturing mission and values. Ensure to operate within the established Code of Ethics, policies, procedures and local laws, maintain awareness of USA trends (political, economic, competitor, industry, and vendor). Help to bridge gap in culture & communications between the team in India and counterparts in USA & Canada

Required Education/Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field with an overall experience of >10 years. Masters in SCM is a good value add.

- 8+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance or similar work with an emphasis on sourcing, direct negotiations, and contracting.

- Experience in a retail or Business to Consumer environment

- Experience in categories like IT, Corporate Services, Staff Augmentation, Facilities would be required

- Exposure in all other categories - Fuel, Energy, Logistics would be considered as a value add.

- Experience in managing/supervising sourcing teams is required.

- Experience in Project management and Vendor Management is a must

- Experience in dealing with USA/international stakeholders, suppliers and/or clients is a must

- Experience in building RFPs, SOWs and Contracting and running Projects is a must.

- Experience in negotiating multi-million-dollar contracts spanning multiple regions, US Vendor market knowledge

- Experience collaborating and communicating at the executive level

- Experience managing cross-functional project teams and resources

- Proficient with MS Office Suite, Power BI analytics

- Procurement experience for US and Canada markets is required

- Very good English communication skills required to interact with US and Canada stakeholders and customers
