Overall Purpose Of Job :

- Support implementation of the Global Intercompany Accounting project for the FMCG client across the globe, in line with agreed plan & timelines.

- Provide support in identifying and agreeing business user requirements for establishing standardised inter-company accounting process in consultation with the client.

- Ensure intercompany accounting processes work in a standardised way across the globe for the client in line with agreed SLAs.

- Work with the business to develop a Global Intercompany accounting policy and ensure adhere of the policy by the different business groups.

- Lead initiatives to automate current processes to achieve at higher productivity.

- Lead and develop client relationship by delivering superior outputs and initiate discussions to win more business from the clients.

- Be aware & be on top of the issues related to project and work with the project managers & SMEs to resolve the issues. Escalate & don't hesitate when needed.

- Lead hiring to establish a team to support the project implementation and also the business as usual process after the project goes live.

- Lead conversations & meetings with client senior stakeholders to provide key updates and provide thought leadership and add value at every step.

- Actively monitor the project plans and participate in the project management through close interaction with the onshore & offshore project managers.

- Be result oriented and find ways & means to achieve your objectives.

- Establish key performance indicators including the critical process indicators in agreement with the clients and actively monitor it without fail.

- Grow & develop talent within teams and establish an effective succession plan.

- Provide thought leadership to finally move towards developing the best in class processes

- Manage close, statutory & tax reporting and business related reporting process and ensure statutory compliance

- Ensure that close & reporting process is completed in accurate and timely manner

- Perform review of both overall & business group-wise Balance Sheet and P&L for obvious errors, omissions, or inconsistencies

- Month-End Close Reporting & Analysis: Summary reports and analysis are created and delivered to inform business owners of results.

- Forecast: Forecasts are completed by geographical hierarchies and/or by revenue summary division .

- Monthly/Quarterly Business Update : A monthly/quarterly rhythm of the Business meeting to review both financial and key performance indicators across all business and services groups.

- Mid-Year Review: The internal process through which areas and/or sub regions present to leadership their first half results and outlook for the fiscal year.

- Budget: The annual process by which top down targets are determined by Corporate and cascaded down to the areas. Detailed budgets are then planned and entered into the budgeting tools by each sub region.

Reporting & Analysis :

- Revenue Flash reports : Process performed to update and format the Local Flash Report to disseminate to stakeholders.

- Marketing Weekly Flash: Process performed to update and format the Local Weekly Flash Report to disseminate to stakeholders.

Quarterly plan & Forecast:

- VAT reports

- Answer Reporting & Analysis Requests: handles inquiries & adhoc report requests that come up from stakeholders

Responsibilities/Authorities :

Operational :

- Provide leadership in decision making & change management.

- Manage senior stakeholders effectively is vital.

- Understand client's business needs and ensure that processes are aligned to the needs.

- Engage with Finance Controllers & Directors (FC/D) on day to day operations/deliverables and bring up potential issues concerning compliance and Business reporting requirements.

- Review compliance reporting prior to submission to FC/D from accuracy and completeness

- Work with teams and ensures that SLAs are met

- Proactively escalate issues to the senior management that require intervention/clarification

- Flexible to work across different shifts hours in 24 X 7 operation

Financial :

- Identify areas of cost reduction by process and productivity improvements

- Support both Accenture process improvement initiatives as well as Client improvement projects

Client/Customer :

- High level client centricity with an open mind to manage client expectation.

- Be a part of the solution & provide thoughts to clients to overcome their business problems.

- Ensure compliance with client's policies and procedures

- Ensure compliance with Client's accounting policies

- Ensure timely communication to customers

- Create adequate back ups of all work products

- Develop an understanding of customer accounts and information

- Build flexibility and adaptability to ensure smooth service delivery. Ensure that client's requests are given a priority

People :

- Coach and develop your second line to help build successors.

- Share best practices - (leverage the knowledge across teams)

- Participate in Team Initiatives/events

- Share ideas and seek clarification

- Create good relations with internal and external customers

Qualification Requirement :

- Qualified Accountant (CA) is preferred

- MBA Finance with relevant work experience

Experience Requirement :

- Relevant work experience for 10 years +
