Designation: Senior Manager - Finance & MIS

Client: Group of Hospitals (Corporate Office)

Location:- Chennai

Objective:

Ensure accurate financial statements are published within the first week of the month

Role:

Area 1: Month closure of books and publishing MIS

- Review existing monthly closing procedures and identify gaps in process completeness, adequacy and timeliness of information flow to finance.

- Assist in constituting and implementing a robust month end closing process to improve accuracy, reliability and speed of reporting of the financial statements in the following areas:

- Sales and Accounts Receivable

- Materials purchased and Accounts Payable

- Consumption and Inventory

- Payroll and Employee Cost

- Month end Provisions for expenses

- General Ledger month closing process

- Publishing of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow

- Budget vs actual reporting

Area 2: Team development

Prepare written documentation of accounting manual, policies and procedures. The objective of the documentation of accounting policies and procedures is to:

- Enhance your team's understanding of their role and function in the internal control system

- Establish responsibilities and guide employees in your team

- Maintain consistency in data from year to year and during employee transitions

- Help decrease circumvention of the entity's policies.

Area 3: Audit

Take ownership of the underlying Financial Statements of the company and the statutory audit finalization (monthly, quarterly and annual).

Preferred Candidate

Educational qualification: Chartered accountant

Work-experience:

- At least 5 year's experience

- Worked at one of the top tier audit firms

- Demonstrates a flair for accounting and MIS software
