We have just closed a multimillion dollar pre-series A round and are looking to unlock the next level of scale and expand to Indian and Oversees geographies. We have been working with a lean team until now, and are now looking to build a core team who can directly work with Founders and drive their functions independently with a Growth Strategy

Job Description:

Farmtheory is looking for a Sr Manager Finance to manage and oversee the financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong background in accounting and finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.

Reporting directly to the Founder, the person will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and developing financial strategies that support the overall goals of the company. The candidate should have experience working with startups and be process-driven.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company.

- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

- Develop and implement financial strategies that support the overall goals of the company.

- Monitor and analyze financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

- Prepare financial reports and presentations for management, investors, and other stakeholders.

- Ensure compliance with all financial and accounting regulations and laws.

- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and tax advisors.

- Manage the accounting team and provide leadership, guidance, and support.

- Build and implement tools for finance, including cash flow management, receivable and payables, reimbursement processes, and utilization of lines of credit from banks.

- Find ways to optimize financial processes and procedures.

Requirements:

- At least 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, with a focus on financial reporting, analysis, and strategy development. Experience leading finance function for a startup is preferred

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).

- Excellent analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.

- Experience with accounting software and financial management tools.

- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and to meet tight deadlines.

- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.
