Senior Manager/Director - Fundraising
- As a development sector, education implementing organization, we are working across government secondary schools to improve learning outcomes of 5 million children in India, increase their transition to higher education and access to career opportunities.
- We are on the lookout for a Senior Manager/ Director of Fundraising who would be responsible to meet current annual fundraising goals, while growing and diversifying its funding base. This person will oversee and manage day-to-day fundraising operations while engaging the team and leadership team in expanding revenue streams to support new initiatives.
Responsibilities :
- Develop, implement, and monitor fundraising strategy including innovative approaches to raise financial resources.
This includes:
- Fundraising from existing corporate donors (CSR donors, Foundations, etc.) as well as regular HNIs etc.
- Explore new alternative approaches to funding (business development).
- Manage and develop relationships with multi-lateral institutional donors and corporate donors.
- Diversify the funding base by adding new donors and reduce dependence on a few donors. Maintain a robust and healthy pipeline of prospective donors.
- Maintain up-to-the-minute intelligence regarding existing opportunities, supporters, relevant industries and the overall philanthropic landscape.
- Conceptualize and develop funding proposals and presentations for existing and potential new donors for program as well as new investment requirements.
- Follow up on funding proposals, make presentations and articulate value propositions, coordinate field visits, leverage CEO / leadership team relationships as well as involve them in donor meetings to facilitate closure of funding as required.
- Ensure accurate, timely and complete donor reporting as well as discussion of the reports periodically with key donors.
- Lead, grow and manage fundraising team.
- Promote a culture of high performance that values continuous learning and commitment to cause
- Mentor and develop team using a supportive and collaborative approach on a consistent basis.
- Establish and monitor team performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals
