Senior Manager - Direct Taxation - CA

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Advice clients on various critical issues related to all arenas of direct taxes such as tax compliance, tax minimization etc.

- Structured various transactions and agreements for direct tax efficiencies

- Ensure Strict Compliance of Income Tax & Wealth Tax Laws.

- Preparing Tax Audit Report and Filling of Return.

- Assessment & Appeal proceedings

- Attending personal Hearings up to the level of Tribunal.

- Advice Company management on Income tax matters to decide Company's policy in context of tax planning

- Liaison with Income Tax Department

- Would be arguing various cases before various quasi judicial authorities

- Identifying potential new business leads & cross sell opportunities success in conversion of referrals

- Ensure delivery of quality work and take day to day leadership of delivery team and make sure compliance of all aspects of taxation.

- Sound Knowledge of Income Tax Act, Wealth tax Act, DTAA, FEMA, RBI Act, and Stamp Duty Act.

- Should have a past experience of working in direct tax field.

- Experience of attending proceedings relating to Income tax matters.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Qualified CA (Preferably 1st/ 2nd attempt)

- Good technical skills

- Minimum 6+ years of post qualification experience

- Experience in handling Direct taxation for onshore clients

- Ability to apply expertise in a consultative role

- Superior leadership ability

- Superior relationship building

- Presentation and public speaking

- Ability to analyse and think differently
