- We are seeking a well-qualified candidate with a deep understanding of managing complex, conflicting data sets in a relational database and statistical package - namely SAS, Statistica or R. Data Scientist Consultant analyses complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide meaningful insights to decision-makers. Blends multiple disparate data sources to interrogate business conditions, market dynamics, customer behavior, and process anomalies.

- Creates analyses that uncover hidden opportunities to improve in areas such as operations, sales effectiveness, product packaging, pricing and profitability. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to predict outcome and guide business programs. Collaborates, consults and effectively communicates findings, insights and recommendations with business leaders.

Role Responsibilities :

- Interacts with business leaders to understand business strategy, conditions, and problem areas.

- Contributes to business strategy and influences decision-making based on information gained from deep dive analyses.

- Produces actionable & compelling recommendations by interpreting, exploring, identifying and communicating insights discovered within complex data sets.

- Partners with both internal & external sources to gather & examine data from disparate sources with the goal of discovering previously hidden insights.

- Designs, develops and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured data to generate actionable insights & solutions.

- Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources.

- Constructs predictive models, algorithms and probability engines; verifies model and algorithm effectiveness based on actual results.

Qualifications :

- Masters in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics or Computer Science. PhD preferred.

- 10-12 Years of work experience Prior relevant experience in data management, automation, IT programming, financial forecasting, data mining or statistical modeling.

- Strong track record of accomplishments

- Good communication skills - English written and verbal a must

- Good power point and excel skills with support from team mates

- Strong data modeling and statistical model design

- Tools like SQL, Teradata, HANA, Tableau, SAS, Statistica, R, Python etc

- Strong analytical skills including analyzing data and understanding various database structures - SFDC, Order Management, Finance, and Marketing

- Proficient data mining skills and utilization of computer programming, report writers, statistical, and predictive modeling software such as Statistica, SAS, R, SPSS, Hadoop, Teradata, Python, Tableu, Business Objects, C++, Toad, SQL, etc.
