Senior Manager - Credit Risk - FinTech

Key Responsibilities :

- Create risk and underwriting model for our customer segment using a combination of financial, transactional and behavioural data

- Build best-in-class risk model that can predict likelihood of future defaults and create early warning system for at-risk customers

- Serve as gatekeeper for credit approvals and limit enhancements

- Liaison with credit partners to bring them on-board with Jumbotail risk models and create blended model taking inputs from partners

- Create technology and processes to create and assimilate diverse data points i.e. shop location, inventory, education etc.

- Should be very proficient in data analysis and have familiarity with various AI/ML models that help predict default probability

- Willingness to go to field and talk to customers first hand to understand consumers behavior and factor these insights in risk model

- Work closely with product, tech and business team to embed risk model into our product and operational processes; Ensure 100% compliance

Basic qualifications :

- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in risk management for a fintech startup; Preference for folks working on BNPL products

- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with AI/ML models;


- Ability to gather and structure data for analysis

- Bachelor's degree required, MBA is preferred

- Understanding of B2B e-commerce desired

- Strong team player, acts like an owner, and ultimately focused on delivering results with high standards

- Proven analytical skills and demonstrated ability to manage the business "by the numbers"

- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills

- Demonstrated active listening skills, highly consultative and solutions-oriented

- Proven ability to successfully thrive in an ambiguous environment and changing market conditions
