Senior Manager - Control & Policy, CCoE

- This role is part of our Global Control Assurance team, which is a key element of our Financial Control Pillar.

- The Global Control Assurance team's responsibility is to lead in the development and maintenance of a robust control framework to facilitate a strong compliance environment at the company.

- As part of this role, you will work collaboratively with Group Finance, Global Functions, Internal Audit, Regional and Market finance teams on finance policy, process, and risk.

The key responsibilities of this role include implementing best practices and contributing to the education of our global business by actively focusing on :

- Policy maintenance

- Provision of policy training

- Provision of practical guidance on how to apply policy

- Policy development and maintenance

- Lead on the process of maintaining finance policies, Internal Control Framework and Global Delegation of Authorities, driving standardization/harmonization where possible.

- Control & Policy manager is responsible for identifying areas of policy change and potential policy gaps/inconsistencies and working with Policy owners in implementing changes to address these gaps.

- Contribute to the maintenance of the Global Finance Risk Register (GFRR): identify key risks in relation to the finance function and the appropriate mitigating controls.

- Work with global and local process owners to implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and align them to the relevant Global Finance Policies.

Provision of policy training :

- The role will work with the policy owners in creating these training to educate the business on the importance of having a risk and control mindset to enhance and drive the adoption of a strong risk awareness culture, by creating and delivering regular and relevant policy and control training across the Globe.

- The role needs to work with the Organization Change management team and the dentsu University team in developing compliance and related training modules.

Provision of practical guidance on how to apply policy :

- The Control & Policy manager acts as a subject matter expert and provide group/markets /regional teams with practical guidance on how to apply group policies.

- When required, participate in policy workshops to facilitate policy discussions, and support local and global teams in reviewing finance processes to ensure controls are robust. When a policy disagreement arises, the control assurance team is responsible for reviewing and proposing pragmatic solutions as required.

- Maintain clear records of discussions with policy contributors and other stakeholders.

Professional skills :

- Fully qualified accountant with background in Audit, Accounting and/or Risk; with 9+ years' experience in a large international company.

- Demonstrable experience in implementation of policy and processes in a regulatory and/or other challenging environment.

- A successful track record of driving initiatives forward and managing change in a fast- paced environment.

- Strong communication skills (verbal & written). Able to communicate and influence effectively with various stakeholders, across different regions and levels.

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an international environment with people at all organizational levels by establishing positive and productive working relationships

- Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and/ or the ability to analyse complex concepts and work with uncertainty to solve problems and make effective policy recommendations
