Senior Manager - Category

Job Role :

Main Responsibilities :

- Achieve category sales, profit and income goals and objectives of assigned categories through monitoring trends within the market segments, developing strategies to grow the market share of assigned categories and to plan strategies to counter competition

- Develop & implement a good inventory management process so that there is an optimum product mix that focuses on customers needs and the process achieves shrinking reduction objective.

- Develop & implement promotional plans that bring excitement and incremental sales.

- Develop & implement placement and planogram strategies that improve category turnover and positively influence our customers shopping behaviour.

- Develop & implement a competitive pricing strategy that delivers value to our customers.

- Establish collaborative retailer/supplier relationships to maximize income/ terms/discounts to improve sales and profitability of category.

- Develop Monthly Category Analysis Report of the assigned categories.

- Co-ordinates with support team to ensure timely response to customer questions and problems.

- Create & execute a product strategy to deliver the specific metric defined, including product sales, margin, and customer count and inventory goals.

- Experience in Merchandising, hands on experience with bundling, cross selling.

- Responsible for budgeting and planning for sales for specific category.

Additional Responsibilities (if any) :

- Proficient in measuring and reporting on the progress of initiatives against goals.

- Sourcing & buying experience

- Drive to achieve sales target.

Qualifications : Graduate + MBA (preferably).

Functional Skill Sets :

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with executives across diverse groups and translate complex concepts into clear, concise and compelling conclusions.

- Knowledge/Experience of working in electronics components industry/and or distribution.

- In-depth knowledge of Product Life Cycle, new product development.

- Should have a team handling experience.

- Should be strong in written & verbal communication.
