Responsibilities:-
- Budget Planning and Roll-out - Complete responsibility for preparation of business plans of the company & presentation to the Board
- Collaborates with the top management to develop the short term & long term strategic plan, including initiatives
- Formulates recommendations and implements policies or plans to ensure or increase the organization's profitability
- Provide Business Planning & Analysis support to facilitate gathering, interpreting and conveying financial and statistical information in an analytical manner which supports profit-planning.
- Model alternative scenarios
- Review the past departmental strategies & cost, analyze the trend
- Managing conflicts & expectations to meet the overall objective of budgets and prepare a plan that creates create a buy-in
- Development and implementation of planning & control best practices
- Decision Support Analytics - Evaluate and analyze the resources (finance, manpower) available and performance trend.
- Study performance trend (market share) of the competitors in the insurance industry, vis--vis study HDFC SL's position in the industry.
- Study the potential business feasibility for HDFC SL with the available resource.
- Develop metrics to measure the performance of the branches, and make recommendations & actionables
- Project the expected cost for the following year and also for every quarter of the financial year.
- Analyze and project the resources requirement necessary for the projected growth.
- Understand the current distribution model and provide statistical analytics to business, to plan expansion or achieve the projected growth.
- Financial Reporting & support for corporate review meetings - Lease the profitability analysis of each distribution channels across the company for presentation to the top management and continuously interact with all stakeholders
- Periodically review the actual vis--vis the initial financial plan.
- Identifying areas for process improvements to enhance quality of MIS thus facilitating informed decision making and initiating actions.
- Prepare the reporting presentation and review material of the above to keep the management updated about the progress of the Plan.
- Financial Analysis of Investments & Initiatives - Lease the business & financial analysis and sanction of capital expenditure, new investments, initiatives, projects to ensure that it meets organizational objectives and evaluate the reduction in spending.
- Development and execution of sanction processes by introducing management tools, monitoring and benchmark methodologies and best practices
- Review of payback of the investments & initiatives
- Business & financial analysis investment proposals through mergers, acquisition & strategic tie-ups
