Job Description: Farm Theory, a Y-Combinator-backed B2B agri-tech startup, is looking for an experienced Sr Manager HR to join our team. As a key member of the core team, you will work directly with the founders to build a culture of excellence, drive growth, and manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle. You will be responsible for building and managing the HR function, leading talent acquisition and retention efforts, managing employee relations, overseeing compensation and benefits, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations. Responsibilities: - Build and manage the HR function at FarmTheory, including developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, managing compliance, and ensuring best practices in all HR areas. - Lead talent acquisition and retention efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent for the company, managing onboarding, and developing and implementing retention strategies. - Manage employee relations, including addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and managing disciplinary actions as necessary. - Oversee compensation and benefits, including developing and implementing compensation and benefits strategies, managing the payroll process, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. - Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, and promote employee growth and career advancement. - Drive culture building and engagement initiatives, including developing and implementing employee engagement programs, promoting a positive work environment, and fostering a culture of excellence. - Partner with business leaders to drive change management initiatives, including process improvements and organizational redesign efforts. - Work closely with the founders to drive the HR function independently and contribute to the growth strategy of the organization. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field. Master's degree in human resources or related field preferred. - 5+ years of experience in HR management, with a proven track record of success in talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and culture building. - Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, ideally in a startup or technology company. - Strong knowledge of HR policies and regulations, including employment laws and regulations. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, leaders, and stakeholders. - Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. - Ability to work independently, take ownership of the HR function, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
