Senior Manager/Associate Director/Director - Finance - EdTech

About the Role :

We are looking for a Senior Manager/AD/Director to be a vital part of the Finance vertical. You will act as the major point of contact for the department and working alongside the Financial Controller. What will you do ?

- Oversee the Finance and accounts function with Tax compliances end-to-end (using team and consultants)

- Ensure proper running of the following KRAs-Accounts, Planning, Big 4 Audits, Controls, treasury management and processes.

- Apply the right processes around revenue/gross margin and EBITA reporting on weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis as per requirements; ensuring sanctity of the reports

- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements

- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting

- Research technical accounting issues for compliance

- Support month-end and year-end close process

- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting

- Manage and comply with local, state, and central government reporting requirements and tax filings

- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department

- Perform additional controller duties as and when necessary

What will you need ?

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with a minimum work experience of 2 years in Big 4 and 3 years Industry experience.(Startup experience will be an added advantage)

- Proven experience in Team handling

- Good analytical, communication, automation/process mindset, with prior experience in handling 3X+ growth in a year

- Prior experience in strategy and business roles in startups is a plus

- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

- Aggressive and interested to work in stealth mode ed-tech start-up where learning is immense

- Vision to plan and work on critical deadlines

- Good systematic approach and analytical thinking mindset; proactive problem solver

- Strong work ethic and ownership mindset

- Demonstrate business acumen, with strong organization skills and strategic orientation
