Analytics Senior Manager - Financial Services

Key Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

A professional at this position level within Organization has the following responsibilities:

1. Sales Origination & Business Development

a. Accountability for industry analytics sales targets as determined by the practice

b. Identify new business opportunities in analytics or digital in existing accounts. Grow existing relationship with clients.

c. End to end data & analytics solutioning capability i.e. big data lake, analytics platform, analytics services, advanced analytics use cases & machine learning, BI & vizualization, self serve apps etc.

d. Create new analytics products & solutions. Take it to the market & build sales & connects.

e. Lead client workshops on data & analytics. Knowledge of latest trends in analytics, offerings and ability to convert it into agenda based on client requirements.

f. Facilitate the development of - request for proposals- responses and contract development.

g. Ability to solution, sell, deliver and maintain client relationship in large analytics consulting FS deals.

h. Understand client problem, building clear solution, communicating it effectively to the client.

i. Partner with - Client Account Teams- in developing analytics plans and get their buy in for the analytics agenda at their client

j. As the leader & preferred partner for Analytics with our clients.

2. Client Delivery & Relationship Management:

a. Own the client relationship. Manage and grow. Built trust with the client.

b. Help clients through the transformation to a Digital organization, powered by large Analytics program.

c. Ability to define potential analytics solutions and evolve them with every changing analytics ecosystem.

d. Ability to drive the full lifecycle of a Customer and Marketing Analytics engagement, including assessment & analytics operating model design, use case prioritization, data requirements definition, analytics platform selection, analytics methodologies, technical architecture design, solution deployment and feedback loop.

e. Identifying, obtaining and processing critical data (e.g. internal client data, external public data, and new sources of data) to challenge the status quo in defining information sources on the data lake.

f. Lead large and complex analytics engagements and help clients move up the analytics maturity curve

g. Build analytics solutions using variety of big data technologies and analytics tools as required by the client, and create robust documentation of solutions and underlying design decisions and operating procedures

h. Mobilizing resources for setting up proof of concept projects and big data & analytics engagements, setting up governance structure, building roadmaps for analytics delivery and managing end to end client engagement(s)

i. Identifying various business use cases for analytics applications, designing predictive and prescriptive analytics based consulting assignments, solutioning these scenarios for pricing & team structure and delivering the outcomes by deploying globally distributed staffing model.

3. Deep FS Industry Knowledge, Drive Innovation & Practice Build:

a. Experience in one or multiple industry domains - Retail Banking, Payments, Wealth, Asset Management or Insurance.

b. Contribute to Practice, Offering and Image Development to help take analytics capabilities to the market, position against client problems, and feed industry issues and business needs to harness capability /offering development e.g. impact of robot advice and AI.

c. Exhibit a high level of expertise in driving the Analytics strategy across multiple customer channels (salesforce, advisor desktop, social media, websites, CRM systems etc.)

d. Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities emphasizing a deep understanding of Banking products, processes & analytics; including Core Banking (Deposits, Lending, Mortgage), Cards & Payments, and knowledge across functions (marketing, sales, distribution, operations, pricing, products, finance, risk, etc.). He should have ability to take key trends & value proposition to clients like data lake migration, personalization of experience and marketing, enhancing Customer/Prospect targeting, advice & recommendations through machine learning.

e. Staying on the cutting edge of emerging Analytics trends and technologies, picking the right ones and applying them to modern architectures to create innovative insights for future client growth and development

f. Develop thought capital around an integrated Financial Services Analytics framework for global banks that addresses functional aspects like customers and risk, and emerging technology aspects like big data, digital, mobility, etc.

Experience Required- Must Have

1. Experience in analytics or insight led consulting.

2. Worked with large consulting and financial services firms and managed large delivery teams

3. Experience in Analytics sales and solutioning. Preferable if selling abilities have spanned across both technology and functional aspects of Financial Services Analytics

4. Ability to structure, solution and sell Analytics engagements for financial services i.e. banking, insurance and/or capital market clientsfocusing on both the functional and technical aspects of an Engagement.

5. Strong understanding of various statistical techniques like, regression including logistic and OLS, clustering, optimization, Monte Carlo simulation, classification and forecasting techniques and experience in machine learning techniques (neural net, SVM, association rules, random forest etc.).

6. Deep experience in one or more of the following capabilities - Machine Learning, Advanced Visualization, Data Discovery, insight consumption & implementation, Big Data Platform & Data Lake.

7. Hands-on experience of developing Analytics models that solve specific business problems

8. Hands-on experience in using one or more of the following analytic tools like - R, SAS, Python, Spark and visualization platforms such as Tableau, Qlikview, PowerBI, or JavaScript

9. Exposure to working in globally distributed workforce environment including offshore model.

10. Strong functional and analytic skills to identify potential business problems and translate business requirements into tactical analytical requirements

11. Experience in resolving complex data issues in creative and effective ways. High self-motivation for success in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

12. Adept in data architecture in FS, investment and Insurance

13. Able to solution architect with project teams and lead large delivery teams

14. Experience in leading / assisting with BD efforts

15. Strong, client & people management

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing(NLP) and Cognitive Systems

2. Experience of working with big data tools i.e. Hadoop, spark, D3, oozie, hive, python.

3. Experience in using analytics for personalizing experience, next best action, customer journey.

4. Understanding of Digital Marketing for prospecting & customer marketing. Experience in Digital Marketing Platforms (DMP) like Adobe Marketing Cloud or Oracle Marketing Cloud

Education:

1. Masters or PhD in one or more of the following quantitative disciplines, i.e. Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computing, Quantitative Finance.

Location: Bangalore

Years of Experience: 10-15 years of relevant analytics experience.

Work Authorization: Preferable for US and/or UK.
