Role Summary:

- Focus: Analytics driven business opportunities - development and implementation with impact assessments. Clear focus on value add / value impact

- Stakeholders - Analytics (technical) solutions delivery for all analytical modules for all Tata AIA Life - across Consumers, Distribution, Operations, Product and Risk and Human Resource

- Business opportunity - To prepare post discussion with the relevant stakeholder opportunities and or problem statements and their specific solutions, where analytics can provide a solution for increased business / efficiency growth, esp. unchartered domains like digital, product and risk. Orientations towards execution is a must

- Team mentor - Guide/supervise and develop - the analytic models, with various software used by the organization and or partners, with the in-houses and or partner/vendors team

- Implementation -- Work with business and functional teams on implementation of the analytical models

Reports to Direct Head - BI and Consumer Analytics

Supervises 4 members - 2 data scientist and 2 outsourced members

Value Add Analytics :

BUSINESS - UNDERSTANDING & EXPOSURE Important area for focus

- Work on analytics led business opportunities across all business functions and partners

- Plan jointly with stakeholders and build new initiatives where BIU & Analytics can ingrain business benefits - premium, TAT, efficiency - programs in all functioning of the businesses

- Groundwork in terms of setting up the analytics tool/solution

- Track the key business parameters and provide analytical insights

- Identify opportunities to develop statistical models, segmentation schemes, and data-driven analyses to drive marketing and merchandising efforts around customer acquisition and conversion, efficiency in processes, digital insights and or people analytics

- Work on Statistical modules - development, assessment, hypothesis testing and validations, business opportunity -planning - for below business aspects

- AI, Deep Learning and Machine Learning techniques

- Data Base Management / Business Analytics

- Database management from all core systems/sources of the organization

- Case preparation / Model building - Prepare the model that will take care of the problems highlighted and provide and uplift in the output

- Present the model to the stakeholder and take a signoff for the implementation

- Prepare a business case stating the problem and take signoff from the stakeholders

- Implementation High Focus

- Preparation of the plan for implementation of the predictive analytics model

- Prepare trackers and update the stakeholders on the progress

- Track all the models in implementation and provide the management a view of the same

- Integrate web analytics into transactional and customer analytics

E. Skills Required :

- Technical - Very Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of Statistical tools and application usage

- Python, R, SAS, MATLAB, Stata, Excelstat, Tableau and or allied solutions

- Ms Excel, SQL

- High proficiency in Coding/Programming skills is a must

- Experience on large data sets

- Desirable - Data visualization tools across various Platforms

- Hardware and Software knowledge

F. Incumbent Characteristics

Essential Desired

Qualification

Must-Have - PGDBM / Diploma

/ Degree -n Statistical Analytics and or full-time specific courses advanced analytics and or statistical analytics from a reputed institute is necessary

Prior to strong experience in Analytic and Statistical tools / working knowledge and implementation experience on same in the financial industry is desirable

Experience 7-10 years minimum

Exposure to the insurance industry is preferable MBA in Statistical Analytics shall be preferred
