Position Title: Senior Manager/AGM

Pay range:15 to 20 LPA (Depending on experience)

Mode: Work from office

Location: Madurai, Tamil Nadu

KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB (POSITION SUMMARY)

The position is responsible for driving green field projects and expansion of existing plants as per the strategic requirement of the organization. This includes right from the design of plant layout to civil construction to the installation and commissioning of new machinery, equipment & utilities. This position also has an oversight on Plant Engineering.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Education: BE/B.Tech

Experience: 10 to 15 years in a manufacturing environment, especially handling greenfield and brownfield projects.

KEY ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Finalise / modify Site plant layout:

- Plan Layout concept

- Budget & timeline for civil construction eg, plant expansion, additional infrastructure such as canteen, etc

- Evaluate & Finalise Architects & Engineering Services and Project Mgmt. Consultancy firms

- Coordinate with Architects for preparing required Architectural design as required

Civil Construction:

- Evaluate & Finalise Contracting firms for civil construction

- Coordinate for preparing tender documents

- Coordinate for ordering all civil construction activities

- Coordinate with Site construction teams to ensure smooth and timely completion of the expansion of Plant Buildings and infrastructure facilities

- Review civil requirements periodically and provide necessary support in civil construction

Statutory Approvals:

- Ensure required documents are available

- Liaison with the Government to get statutory approvals

- Coordinate with the Capex team for release PO and follow-ups

- Coordinate with the Accounts team for payments etc

Procurement, Installation, and Commissioning

- Design and finalize the layout/process /equipment and machinery

- Plan Budget / layout / process / equipment and machinery required for establishing Plant operations

- Ensure preparation of RFQs for ordering the machinery & equipment

- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely manufacturing of the machinery & equipment.

- Ensure proper Inspection at the supplier's end and advise despatch clearance

- Coordinate for receiving, installing, and commissioning of machinery & equipment

- Ensure smooth commissioning trials and production of the machinery & equipment

- Ensure seamless handover to the maintenance teams

Plant Engineering

- Oversee and provide support to Plant Engineering in Planning, Budgeting, and Escalations as needed

- Ensure that the Plant Engineering team is trained on machinery & equipment.

MIS & Reporting

- Ensure ERP is updated regularly and accurately with data and information regarding projects

- Regularly review and analyze performance related to timelines, trials and productionizing etc.

People Management

- Build a capable team

- Manage the performance of the team

- Ensure staff is adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the project work can be completed in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner
